66% cabernet sauvignon and 32% merlot from the excellent south-facing, pebbly Saint Estephe ridge, plus a little aromatic, old-vine cabernet franc (1%) from a clayey parcel, and 1% petit verdot. 70% aged in new barrels. Incredible nose and flavour: blackcurrant, black cherry, cassis, liquorice, Christmas spices, dark chocolate and earthy minerality. Ripe, rich and round wine with smooth tannins and incredible length.
