First made in 2012, Griffons is the ambassador of modern Bordeaux from Pauillac. The blend of Cabernet Sauvignon (59%) and Merlot (41%) was matured for 18 months in first and second fill barrels. Ripe black berries, violets, herbs, earthy notes and tobacco. Medium body, nice balance of acidity and tannins, lovely roasted barrel aromas, lots of fruit on the finish. A wine with great ageing potential, character and precision.
