Barbaresco. From the Roncagliette cru. Mid ruby. Great focus and purity on the nose. Gorgeous, perfumed raspberry with minerally, savoury nose in the background. Gorgeous balance of concentrated red fruit that is still very much embryonic and a super-fine layer of long tannins. Contained yet lots of depth. Elegant, austere perfumed fruit finish. Quite spectacular but not ready by far.
