Named after one of the highly regarded vineyards in the Barossa Valley, Koonunga Hill Shiraz Cabernet shows complexity, balance, and consistent quality year after year. This blend, which can be considered traditional in Australia, was first produced in 1976 and has been met with unbroken enthusiasm ever since. The 2022 vintage was textbook perfect, balanced and free of extremes – every winemaker's dream. It was fermented in steel tanks, followed by 12 months of aging in small wooden barrels. Crimson in color with purple hues. Its aroma is a cavalcade of sweet and salty notes, raspberry, ripe cherry, bergamot and Earl Grey tea, complemented by exotic spices. The taste is characterized by paprika aromas, hazelnut chocolate, and lots of fruit. The soft acids and delicate tannins give the wine an airy and soft feel.
